About GoogleExitPlan
Helping you break free from Big Tech surveillance since 2025.
Our Mission
GoogleExitPlan was created with a simple mission: to help people transition away from Google services and reclaim their digital privacy. We believe that everyone deserves control over their personal data, and that shouldn't require a computer science degree to achieve.
Why We Exist
Google has become deeply embedded in our digital lives. Gmail, Chrome, Search, Drive, Maps, YouTube—for many people, Google services are synonymous with the internet itself. But this convenience comes at a cost: your privacy.
Google's business model is built on collecting and monetizing your personal data. Every email you send, every search you make, every place you go—all of this information is collected, analyzed, and used to build a detailed profile for advertising purposes.
We believe there's a better way. There are excellent privacy-respecting alternatives to every Google service, but finding them, evaluating them, and switching to them can be overwhelming. That's where we come in.
What We Do
- Research alternatives: We thoroughly evaluate privacy-focused alternatives to Google services, examining their privacy practices, features, and usability.
- Create migration guides: Step-by-step instructions to help you switch from Google services to better alternatives.
- Compare options: Detailed head-to-head comparisons to help you choose the right tool for your needs.
- Stay current: The privacy landscape changes rapidly. We keep our recommendations up to date.
Our Principles
- Privacy first: We only recommend services that genuinely respect user privacy.
- Honest reviews: We're upfront about both the strengths and weaknesses of every tool we review.
- No hidden agendas: When we use affiliate links, we disclose them. Our recommendations are based on merit, not commissions.
- Accessibility: Privacy shouldn't be complicated. We explain things in plain language.
Join the Movement
Every person who switches away from Google services sends a message that privacy matters. You don't have to do it all at once—start with one service, get comfortable, then move on to the next.
We're here to help you every step of the way.
